Yes! Yes! I appreciate you, Shannon, and I'm sorry you've been so hurt by Christians and the church. I still follow Jesus--the real Jesus, not the American evangelical version. If I remember right, he also called out hypocrisy as he bumped into it. The ones he healed got healed because they acknowledged their sorry state and knew they were helpless to fix it themselves. I pray the American church experiences a great reckoning and can no longer function as they always have. Let the faithful then go out, grassroots-style, and become the disciples Jesus meant for them to be. I love your work, it inspires me to write fearlessly.
